Security

Property Owners

Property owners are always allowed entry through our main gate via our automatic barcode entry system. Our back gate at Lauren Road is available for entry and exit via our automatic barcode entry system between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Barcode tags for vehicles are available for purchase at Security Guard House for $10 each, Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. As a reminder, property owners should not loan their barcode stickers to visitors or contractors. Doing so will invalidate the barcode sticker.

Visitors

Visitors entering for golf or club events must show proof of Barton Creek Club Membership.

Licensed real estate agents must leave their driver’s license with guard.

Visitors interested in looking at our community who aren’t accompanied by a licensed real estate agent may leave their driver’s license with the guard and pick it up as they exit. Entry is only between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.at the discretion of the guard.

Cottage/home renters/leasers must be properly registered with Security. Cottage renters will be required to show ID, such as driver’s license.

Visitors must provide the guard the name of the resident they are visiting. The guard will note their information including the BCL resident's address in the log. Owners who have visitors arriving after 8:30 p.m. should contact the guard before 8:00 p.m. to arrange for entry pre-approval at 830-693-7950 or bclguardhouse@gmail.com. Visitors arriving after 8:30 p.m. who have not been pre-approved, require the guard to contact the resident to obtain permission before they will be allowed entry.

Visitors with Authorized Access

Property owners can allow friends and family members “authorized access” to visit them. When authorized guests arrive, they simply check in at the guard house and are issued a visitor pass with the dates they will be in BCL.

To allow authorized access to friends or family members, property owners must complete a 24/7/365 Access Form available at the guard house or by email request to bclguardhouse@gmail.com. The form provides the name(s) and pertinent information for the individual(s) who are authorized to have access. The information is retained in the guardhouse.

If an authorized guest wants to avoid stopping at the guard house each time to get a visitor pass, the property owner or the guest may purchase a non-property owner barcode sticker by completing the application form and providing the required documents. This sticker must be attached to the guest’s vehicle to enter BCL. Liability insurance is assigned to a vehicle, not a person, therefore, the barcode sticker must be attached to the insured vehicle. The barcode sticker is registered in the BCL guard house access system. Guests who have barcode stickers will need show proof of liability insurance every 6 months to  continue to be granted access.

Service Providers and Contractors

Normal entry hours for construction workers, deliveries or service calls are 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Unless the company name is permanently on the vehicle, all service providers and contractors)are required to show current proof of liability insurance to gain entry to the neighborhood.

Exceptions for deliveries or service calls are at the discretion of the guard. Requests for exceptions for construction work should be made to a member of the Architectural Review Committee (ARC).

No construction work is allowed on New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, or Christmas Day.

Access to Resident Homes

As a courtesy, residents may provide the guard a house key to be kept at the main gate guard shack. Residents may contact the guard shack by phone or email to authorize access. In addition, guards will provide a house key to any person designated by the resident on the Residence Access Form without advance notice.
